The Annual Meeting of the Board of Trustees of Newfane Free Library will be Monday, February 13th at 8pm at the Library. All are welcome to attend.
Holiday Library Hours
We will be closed Saturday, December 24th – Monday, December 26th for the Christmas holiday. For the New Years Eve holiday, we will be closed Monday, January 2nd. Happy Holidays!
One Week Left For Our November Basket Raffle!
November 30th will be the last day to purchase tickets for our November basket raffle. We have two dried flower wreaths, a baking basket, and a money tree basket worth $50! All donations go towards supporting your library.
Don’t forget, the Library will be closed Thursday AND Friday, November 24th & 25th for the Thanksgiving holiday. Happy Turkey Day!
Congratulations To Our Winners!
Congratulations to everyone who won a basket or gift certificate in our Fall Basket Raffle – we raised $455 for the library! And a big thanks to everyone who donated items for our raffle: Crossroads Pizza, Wilson’s Pizza, Newfane Sports Boosters, Newfane Youth Football & Cheerleading, Wine & Liquor Outlet, Tim Hortons, Doug Ames, Amanda Henning, Wanda Hartley and Library Board & Staff members.
Fall Basket Raffle @ the Library
We have 15 baskets/gift certificates for our Fall Basket Raffle here at the library! Tickets are $5 for a sheet of 25 tickets. Baskets include gift certificates from Wilsons Pizza and Crossroads Pizza, two Newfane Sports baskets and a wine basket. Tickets can be purchased at the front desk.
The drawing for the baskets will be November 1st.
Monthly Basket Raffle @ the Library
In order to raise needed funds for the library, we are having an in-house (or in-library) basket raffle each month, beginning with September. Tickets will be $1 each or 6 for $5. October will have a larger amount of baskets offered.
Summer Reading Program Prizes Still Available!
There is still time to turn in your Summer Reading Program reading record and receive your prize! The large prize drawings have been held already, but prizes for completing the program are available through September.
Scavenger Hunt @ Town Celebration!
The library is sponsoring a scavenger hunt during the Town Celebration on Saturday, August 20th. We will be in the Community Center parking lot with kids games and chalk drawing – stop by before touring the Celebration, and pick up your first clue. The scavenger hunt is designed to take you around Main Street, so clues can be picked up while touring the celebration!
Last Week of Kids & Teen Summer Reading Program!
Get your reading records in this week to get your chance(s) at the bigger prizes! Last day to get your materials in is Friday, August 19th. Prizes will still be awarded after this date, but chances at the bigger prizes will no longer be available.
We now do faxing!
The library is now offering faxing services. Faxes sent are $1.00 for the first page and 50 cents for each additional page. To receive a fax is 20 cents per page, but it must have your name and phone number on it!
