The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia & Alzheimer’s Disease Program

Join us on Tuesday evening, June 6th from 6-7pm as we host the Alzheimer’s Association program “The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia, and Alzheimer’s Disease”.

Alzheimer’s disease is not normal aging, If you or someone you know is affected by Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, it’s good to learn the facts. This program provides information on detection, risk factors, stages of the disease, treatment, and much more.

Niagara Family Resource Meeting Tuesday evening at 6pm

NFRP picJoin us at our Newfane Family Resource Meeting where we share resources from all over Niagara County and where families/caregivers with family members needing additional needs discuss family concerns and come up with positive solutions. Supporting each other is the first step to working together for a better quality of life for all of us! Come and see what the NFRP is all about.

Here at Newfane Public Library from 6 – 7:30. Light refreshments will be served.

Northpointe Council Inc. Prevention and Education Program

To raise awareness of the many organizations in Niagara County that offer assistance, whether it’s for mental health, domestic violence or drug abuse, we will be sharing one every day during the month of May on our Facebook page. Today’s organization is Northpointe Council Inc, Prevention and Education Program. Electronic Device Help with Computer Instructor Sara Taylor

Sara Taylor, the BTOP Express computer instructor from the Nioga Library System, will be at our library on the fourth Tuesday of every month from 5:00 – 8:00pm in 2017 to answer questions and offer aid for anyone who needs help with their electronic gadget.

Sara will be at the library on the following dates this winter:

March 28

Having problems with Windows 10? Have some questions regarding Microsoft Word or Excel? Facebook giving you fits? Can’t figure out the settings on your Smartphone? Call the library at 778-9344 to book a 20 minute spot with Sara!
